Christopher Merrell, MA, LPC, has served in the Healthcare field since 1994 in various clinical settings. He holds a B.S. Degree in Health, Physical Education, and Leisure Studies with a Concentration in Therapeutic Recreation from Grambling State University.  In addition, an M.A. Degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. He will earn his Doctor of Education in Community Care and Counseling in May 2026 from Liberty University.

 

He has been licensed as a Professional Counselor by the State of Texas since 2008; his counseling approach focuses on the individual and developing a partnership between the counselor and client to address their needs. Treatment focuses on Christian-based Counseling in the areas of marriage and family therapy, individual therapy, behavior modification, and stress/anxiety management in a caring and therapeutic environment. In addition, your provider has spent more than 25 years with the VA North Texas Health Care System serving our country's Veterans. 

 

Mr. Merrell has been faithfully and happily married for over 25 years and is the proud father of two daughters and one son.  In his leisure time, he enjoys time with family, reading, traveling, and serving through his Church and Fraternity.
